In a UK first, Waterbeach New Town East will be designed to place people at the heart of the community instead of the car through the innovative ‘Sociable Streets’ concept.
RLW Estates has submitted an outline planning application to South Cambridgeshire District Council that seeks permission for the development of up to 4,500 new homes at Waterbeach New Town East.
The relocation of Waterbeach Station is proposed in the emerging South Cambridgeshire Local Plan and recommended in the Greater Cambridge Partnership Cambridge to Ely Corridor Study.

RLW, one of the two promoters of the Waterbeach New Town, is holding an exhibition and feedback session looking specifically at the proposed move of Waterbeach Train Station.
The exhibition will be held on Saturday 20th January 2018 10AM to 4PM at The Salvation Army building, 7 Station Road, Waterbeach, CB25 9HT.
Members of the project team will be available to answer any questions that people may have.
